VP of Business
Andrew is originally from the western coast of Newfoundland.
He holds a Bachelors of Science in Geography (Remote Sensing) from Memorial University Of Newfoundland. After University he moved to Calgary and joined a remote sensing technology firm named Itres, where they developed and deployed a suite of hyperspectral and thermal airborne remote sensing instruments. He started out there running international airborne surveys and finished his 8 year stint there managing the client services department.
After Itres he joined a group in Calgary called TECTERRA, a not-for-profit organization that invests in Canadian companies that develop and commercialize innovative geospatial technologies. He started out at TECTERRA as the Project Portfolio Manager, before moving into the roles of Program Director and Chair of the Project Advisory Committee.
Andrew says “the coolest thing about working at TECTERRA was the range of technologies that fit within the domain of geospatial tech and the commercial opportunities that the technology presents.”
In his spare time, you can usually find him camping with the family or mountain biking.
