With a B.Sc in Geomatics Engineering and an MBA specializing in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Jesse studied at the University of Calgary. Before joining Sparkgeo in July 2021, Jesse had accumulated 16 years of experience working as a project manager for a surveying company.
Currently working remotely from Calgary, Jesse was drawn to Sparkgeo due to its reputation as an innovative leader in geomatics and its positive work culture. Jesse takes pleasure in working on projects that involve finding creative solutions to problems, and where clients seek to explore the “art of the possible.”
When asked why geospatial is awesome, Jesse highlights its vast potential for impact across many societal sectors. While not every problem may be geospatial in nature, Jesse notes that it’s often not hard to find a geospatial element lurking beneath the surface of many pressing issues today.
